Questa Helps Dental Students Improve Financial Future
Questa provided final-year dental students at the University of Central Lancashire with financial advice to help them manage their transition from university to professional life.
The session at the university’s Preston campus aimed to equip students with strategies for managing their finances during the early stages of their dental careers. Key topics included income protection, tax-efficient savings, pensions and managing future liabilities such as mortgages.
Molly Clayton, Questa financial planner, delivered the presentation. Molly said: “Being a recent student helped me identify with some of the pressures and pains the students face. It was a surreal experience to return to be presenting in a university lecture theatre rather than listening to someone else!”
“I know how challenging this transition can be, so I was thrilled to help. Thank you to UCLAN for the invitation, and I hope the students feel better prepared for the future thanks to our time together.”
The workshop explored financial planning strategies tailored to new graduates, covering options for income protection and pension savings. Questa also provided guidance on tax-efficient investment vehicles, such as ISAs and Lifetime ISAs, which can help students manage their financial needs.
Questa’s support was well-received, with students praising the clarity and relevance of the advice provided. One student added: “Presentation given very well, highly informative. This is something I haven’t considered and so the presentation gave a great initial insight!”
Molly said: “It was great to receive such a positive response from the students, and I’m already looking forward to presenting again. Helping them set up a strong financial foundation early in their careers is crucial.”
Questa hopes to deliver more workshops for students in the coming months.
